National Braille Press (NBP) announces Ted and Kathy Truscott of Marblehead, MA and Jim and Susan Caccivio of Nahant, MA as the winners of the VIP Experience at the HGTV Dream Home 2016 – donated by Scripps Network – at the Million Laughs for Literacy Gala. A bidding “war” ensued at the live auction at the gala where both couples wanted the VIP Experience. Once the highest bidder won, Scripps decided to allow two trips to be awarded to double the amount of the donation and to allow both couples to enjoy the VIP Experience.
From April 13-15, 2016, the Truscotts and the Caccivios will enjoy a once-of-a-kind experience at the HGTV Dream Home 2016 in Merritt Island, Florida. In 2016, it will be the 20th anniversary of HGTV’s Dream Home program. The trip includes a private tour of the home along with an intimate dinner around the picturesque pool. Other highlights of the trip are accommodations at the Ritz Carlton Orlando, golf, spa treatments and dinner.
