New This Year! Family Friday and Kids Con at Boston Comic Con 2016

Boston Comic Con will offer an entire day dedicated to family fun

Boston Comic Con is kicking off its annual three-day comic convention with Family Friday and Kids Con on August 12th. During Family Friday, kids age 10 and under will receive free admission to the show. Kids Con will feature tons of fun activities for the entire family to enjoy.

“Boston Comic Con is not just for hardcore comic fans, it’s for kids and families too. Family Friday makes it easy to bring the entire family to the show,” said Nick Kanieff, co-founder of Boston Comic Con. “We have seen a huge increase in the number of families coming to Boston Comic Con over the past eight years and we wanted to dedicate a special day with events and activities for kids.”

Family Friday activities include Kids Con at Boston Comic Con – a dedicated area of the show featuring how-to workshops on comic creation and cartooning, mask-making, color contest, face painting, balloonist, caricaturist, Jedi training by professional martial artists, superheroes meet and greet featuring cosplayers portraying Batman, Wonder Woman, Batgirl, Captain America, Harley Quinn, Iron Man and many more. All Kids Con activities will take place in the Beacon Hill Complex on the main level of the Seaport World Trade Center.
