RCN Donates $150,000 to Help Promote March for Babies Boston

RCN Boston, New England’s leading provider of all-digital television, high speed internet and phone services, announced today it has donated $150,000 worth of cross channel advertisements to promote the March for Babies Boston, to be held on Saturday, May 7th. As the media sponsor for the annual March of Dimes walking event, for the tenth year in a row, RCN will be providing March for Babies Boston with significant advertisements and media exposure to help promote this important cause.

“The March for Babies does excellent work in our community with programs and services that promote healthy pregnancies and prevent premature births. There are more than 8,000 babies in Massachusetts being born too early every year,” said Jeff Carlson, RCN Vice President and General Manager. “The health and safety of the people in our community, especially of infants and children, is very important to RCN. This is why, we are sponsoring the March for Babies Boston for the tenth year in a row.”

RCN is dedicated to improving the communities it serves by offering high-quality digital television, Internet and phone services and is also committed to much-needed philanthropic projects such as the March for Babies.

The three-mile walk will take off from Boston’s DCR Hatch Shell on Saturday, May 7th, at 10:00 a.m., with registration beginning at 9:00 a.m. The RCN tent will be handing out promotional giveaways and visitors will have the opportunity to enter a raffle for a chance to win a bigger prize. The RCN Ice Cream truck will also be onsite handing out free ice cream to participants.
