Local resident and historian, George Wardle, will
present the colonial and early American history of the area that became
Roslindale.  The area has been Roxbury,
Jamaica (Jamaco) or Westerly, West Roxbury: South Street Crossing, and Boston.  Special attention will be given to the
achievements of the prominent resident Benjamin Bussey and his bequest to
Harvard that in part became the Arboretum.
