Kurt M. from Jamaica Plain wrote: “In Boston, at least, this is as good as it gets. The staff has always been attentive and friendly. They’re not pushy or in a rush to get you out of the place. I’ve only been here for the buffet but the choices are varied and delicious. It’s also spicy, which seems rare as so many Americans want Indian food without the kick. You want the kick, people. Trust me. You’re not eating real Indian food until your nose is running and you’re sweating curry later in the day.”
Redd’s in Rozzie- 4257 Washington St.
Peter R. from Boston wrote: “Redd’s is a local stomping ground for me. I work in Roslindale and love to drink beer. My colleagues and I keep a watch on facebook to see when the next great beer is getting tapped here. I have had Heady topper, Maine Lunch and Dinner, Green Flash, Ommengang, Hill Farmstead... all here (not all the time). The food is good and creative as well. It’s a great place to get a bite, have dinner, have an app at the bar. If you’re a big fan of Pork (which I am) you will be interested in the “Pork Project” where the chef, Charlie, does something weird and creative with a whole pig.”
Sophia’s Grotto- 22r Birch St.
Caitlin M. from Brookline wrote: “I‘ve been to Sophia’s twice since moving to Roslindale a few months ago. I haven’t eaten outside there yet, but it looks really cute out there. The prices are reasonable for the area (which has prices higher than I’d expect for being so far from downtown, but then again maybe that’s why). I got the stuffed flounder both times because it was so good the first. Everyone raves about it as one of their fave Rozzie spots.”
Village Sushi & Grill- 14 Corinth St.
Nasreen D. from Framingham wrote: “Their food is incredible! The service is fantastic! I had eel avocado and spicy snow crab. Both were warm AND fresh. I do love the warm taste when I eat sushi, but most of the times, I can tell it wasn’t really fresh. But when I ate sushi here, it was definitely fresh. So good. I also had ginger ice cream for dessert. It was good, but almost quite spicy as I eat more and more. It’s not the spicy you’d think of. It’s kind of a different type of spicy. Either way, it was good. I especially enjoy their iced green tea.”
