Roslindale's Noel Being Sworn into Governor's Statewide Youth Council Today
The Massachusetts Youth Council encourages young people to become civically engaged in their communities.

Roslindale's Meggie Noel will be sworn in today by Governor Deval Patrick into the statewide Youth Council at the State House.
Noel and Hyde Park's Jamila Sealy-Norvin will both be sworn in during a 1 p.m. ceremoney.

The Youth Council was established by Patrick in 2008, and it encourages young people to become civically engaged in their local communities. Youth Council members represent all of the Commonwealth's 14 counties. Members were selected by an application review committee for their excellence in leadership and their outstanding potential to create change in their communities and range from ages 14-20, according to a press release.
