Shopping Cyber Monday? Have a Favorite Charity? Here's a Win-Win Idea

If you’re planning to do any of your holiday shopping online this season, here’s a suggestion idea that might make you feel good about spending your hard-earned dollars: do your shopping at Smile.Amazon.com and the mega online merchant will donate 0.5% of your purchase price to charity. Talk about win-win. Amazon launched a new version of their website this past October so their customers could contribute to a favorite charity when shopping online at the popular site.

Customers get to pick their charity from almost a million options on the site including St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, the Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders and the Nature Conservancy. Amazon isn’t putting a cap on the amount they’ll donate and just about every physical product the site sells is eligible. At the moment, digital items aren’t included but may be in the future.
