Stomp! Oktober Fall Festival

The German-themed Oktober Fall Festival will take place on Saturday October 3rd, 2015 from 7pm-10pm at the Irish Social Club, located at 119 Park Street, West Roxbury, MA 02132. This festival benefits the Chefs Table Foundation whose focus is to provide culinary education to homeless U.S. Veterans and underprivileged youths.

The evening will feature a food tasting, German music, cash bar, contests such the Chicken Dance, Musikal Chairs German Cake Eating Contest, a German beer seminar, raffles and more. Ticket price includes cuisine, contests and entertainment. The Pleasant Cafe, Salem Food Market, The Halfway Cafe, Vincenzo’s Italian Deli, B.C Baking Company, Bertucci’s, Waterford’s Pub & Restaurant, Sugar Bakery and other local restaurants have generously offered to donate the food and staff.

Chefs Table Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, whose mission statement is “service before self”. The Foundation solicits financial support and runs events for the purpose of helping people in need. The focus is to help homeless U.S. veterans and an additional segment of our population that have a high school diploma or GED equivalence to achieve an education in the culinary arts. The Chefs Table Foundation has committed to fund five individual 7-month cordon bleu culinary educations. These scholarships have a value of $40,000 each.

Sam Adams is the official beer sponsor of the event. City of Boston Credit Union is a major “Munich” sponsor. Many local businesses are supporters of this German-themed fundraiser.

Tickets are $25. Attendees encouraged to wear traditional German clothing, such as dirndl, lederhosen, hats, blouses/skirts.
