• State to expand harvesting in three Ipswich shellfishing areas (thelocalnews.news) — Shellfish beds stretching from Middle Ground north toward Rowley are slated to reopen in coming days, expanding local harvesting opportunities after years of restrictions. State fisheries officials will also open Treadwell Island and Fox creeks year‑round, while continuing long‑term work to address contamination and possibly restore access to the Ipswich River flats.
