Salem Halloween 2026: Witch City To Host Sabrina '2 Aunt Hildas' Breast Cancer Benefit

Actress and comic Caroline Rhea will appear with Lucy Davis Oct. 28-29, then headline an Oct. 30 Ellie Fund benefit.

SALEM, MA — The two actresses who played Aunt Hilda in separate versions of "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" will come together for joint event appearances and a Halloween benefit for the Ellie Fund in Salem.

Salem will host Caroline Rhea for three ticketed shows at The Cellar at The Hotel Salem later this month, including two appearances with Davis and the Halloween Eve benefit for Ellie Fund.

The events follow Rhea's surprise parade appearance during Salem's Halloween season alongside The Good Witch of Salem in a pink Mustang provided by Cosmic Unicornz — a Haunted Happenings Marketplace vendor and Creative Collective member.

Presented by Salem's Haunted Neighborhood and produced by Creative Collective, the shows are being coordinated by Samantha Laverdiere of Love Letter Confections, who is working with Creative Collective as on-site producer.

The Hotel Salem team, the Haunted Neighborhood crew and Witch City Comedy are also involved, and Jenni Stuart Fine Jewelry gifted Rhea a cat charm.

Rhea said the Salem appearances carry both personal and charitable meaning.

"I am so excited to perform in Salem," she said. "I fell in love with the city on my last visit. I identify as a witch, and I was welcomed by everyone I encountered. I'm so happy to have joined forces with Creative Collective, and especially Samantha, who is clearly in the coven.

"October means a lot to me. I lost my beloved mother and my best friend, Terry, to breast cancer, and they were both hilariously funny. Now, my dear friend and fellow Aunt Hilda, Lucy Davis, is living with stage IV breast cancer. Being able to share the stage with Lucy, celebrate laughter, friendship, and resilience, and support a cause so close to my heart makes this event especially meaningful."

The Oct. 28 and 29 shows, titled "Two Witches Fly Into A Bar: An Evening with Caroline Rhea + Lucy Davis," will bring together two actresses who played Aunt Hilda. Rhea appeared in the original 1990s and 2000s series with Melissa Joan Hart, while Davis was in the "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" redux from 208-2020.

The shows will feature comedy, conversation, career stories and video clips.

The Oct. 30 event, "Caroline Rhea: An Intimate + Witchy Night of Comedy for a Cause in Salem," will be hosted by Allie DelFranco and Witch City Comedy, with proceeds benefiting Ellie Fund.

The Oct. 28 show runs from 7 to 9 p.m. after 6:30 p.m. doors.

The Oct. 29 show runs from 4 to 6 p.m. after 3:30 p.m. doors, and includes a two-for-one admission option.

The Oct. 30 benefit runs from 9 to 10:30 p.m. at The Cellar inside The Hotel Salem on Essex Street.

Optional VIP meet-and-greet add-ons follow the Oct. 28 and 29 shows.

"Caroline riding through Salem with The Good Witch in a pink Mustang from Cosmic Unicornz was such a Salem moment, and that connection has kept growing," Creative Collective founder and president John Andrews said. "Samantha has put real care into these shows, and our local businesses keep stepping up.

"Come laugh with us — and on Friday, help support people going through breast cancer treatment."

The events coincide with the "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" 30th anniversary cast reunion at The Cabot in Beverly set for Halloween night. That reunion will kick off a nationwide tour and include Hart, along with several other cast members of the original show.
