SALEM, MA — A tequila, whiskey and taco bar has closed its Salem location after five years in the Witch City.
Owners of Barrio Salem said in a social media post that they did not renew the lease and that the location is closed effective immediately.
Barrio locations in Haverhill and Portsmouth, NH will remain open.
"It has been a privilege to serve the Salem community," owners said in the post on Thursday. "We are incredibly grateful for the friendships we've made, the memories we've shared, and the loyal customers who have supported us along the way.
"We also want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to our Salem employees, past and present, who have been such an important part of our journey.
"From our family to yours, thank you for being part of our story."
