BCAE Helps You Decide What You Should and Shouldn't Buy

On December 3rd, 2015 The Boston Center for Adult Education (BCAE) is teaching Bostonians how they can change their lifestyle to make sure that they have as little negative impact as possible on themselves, society, and the environment. “Being a Mindful Consumer” will be taught by Nyree Bekarian Mack, an environmental health consultant and research professional, and will focus on health-conscious changes consumers can make when buying household products and food. Students will be educated on reading ingredient lists, seeing through advertising and packaging, and understanding what types of chemicals are truly bad and why.
