SadieLadySecrets.com Brings Crafts for the Courageous to Beverly to Honor Our Veterans

BEVERLY, MA — November 5, 2026 — SadieLadySecrets.com is inviting the North Shore community to come together for a special day of family fun, holiday giving, and appreciation for our nation's heroes at Crafts for the Courageous Craft Fair & Family Day, taking place Sunday, November 8, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the American Legion Club in Beverly, Massachusetts.

Organized by award-winning and best-selling children's author Stephanie Chiulli-Guillemette, Executive Director of SadieLadySecrets.com, the event will feature approximately 20 local vendors, free children's activities, food, raffles, a special Thanksgiving storytime with Sadie Lady, and a visit from Frosty the Snowman.

Honoring Our Veterans This Holiday Season

With veterans in their own family, Chiulli-Guillemette and her husband, illustrator Justin Guillemette, understand the importance of recognizing those who have sacrificed so much for our country.

"Honoring our veterans holds a very special place in our hearts," said Chiulli-Guillemette. "These brave men and women have given so much to protect our freedoms, and we believe they deserve more than just our thanks. They deserve our kindness, compassion, respect, and support."

A portion of the event's proceeds will benefit homeless and hungry veterans this holiday season, helping support those facing hardship.

Help Us Fill the Food Pantry!

SadieLadySecrets.com will also be collecting food donations to help veterans facing food insecurity.

Requested donations include: Stuffing mix, instant potatoes, cranberry sauce, chicken and vegetable broth, quick bread mixes, brownie and cake mixes, gluten-free stuffing mix, cooking oils, canned gravy, coffee, tea, and spices.

Attendees are encouraged to bring one or more items to the event.

"For many families, the holidays mean gathering around the table and enjoying a warm meal," Chiulli-Guillemette shared. "Unfortunately, some of our veterans are struggling just to put food on that table. Even one donation can make a difference."

A Special Thanksgiving Storytime and a Visit from Frosty!

Families can enjoy a little early holiday magic when Frosty the Snowman visits from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, offering children an opportunity to meet the beloved character and take photos.

At 12:30 PM, families are invited to join author Stephanie Chiulli-Guillemette and Sadie Lady for a special storytime featuring Sadie Lady: A Thanksgiving to Remember, celebrating the spirit of Thanksgiving and the importance of gratitude, friendship, and kindness.

Other activities include:

• 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM: Shop approximately 20 local vendors and enjoy raffles.
• 11:00 AM: $5 pizza combo featuring pizza, chips, and a drink.
• 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM: Free children's crafts, including card making, wooden turkeys, and patriotic wreaths.
• 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Special appearance by Frosty the Snowman.
• 12:30 PM: Thanksgiving storytime with Sadie Lady.
• 1:30 PM: Raffle drawings.

Families are encouraged to scan the QR code on the event flyer to indicate their attendance, helping organizers prepare enough supplies for the free children's crafts.

Inspiring Kindness Through Community

Through her children's book collection, Chiulli-Guillemette encourages children to embrace friendship, gratitude, compassion, and the importance of helping others.

"When children see their families supporting veterans and giving back, they learn that kindness isn't just something we talk about. It's something we do," she said.
