Bong Found on Congress Street, Neighbor Disputes: Salem Police Logs

Excerpts from the Salem Police Logs.

SALEM, MA—Here are some excerpts from the Salem Police Logs from May 19 and 20. 

May 19: 

7:42 a.m.: Officers responded to Lillian Road to a report of a disturbance. The reporting couple stated that they had a problem with their neighbors who live at 19 Chandler St. The couple had informed the neighbors that they would be installing a fence, and the neighbors were unhappy with the idea. The couple had heard an unusual noise emanating from the neighbor's residence. Officers described the recording as similar to a "robo-call" being repeated. The couple had stated that they believed that the sound was being done purposefully.

7:54 a.m.: A school bus was traveling down Planters Road toward Bridge Street when its stop sign came in contact with a parked vehicle. Minor damage was done to the passenger side mirror. 

4:22 p.m.: A woman reported a fraud to the Salem Police Department, stating that her and her husband attempted to sell a pair of concert tickets on Craigslist. The woman reported that she had received a fake check.

5:06 p.m.: Police were flagged down in the area of Salem Street and Lafayette Place to assist in a neighbor dispute between a male and a female party. The parties stated that a verbal argument had started over some kids in the area swearing. The parties were broken up. 

7:45 p.m.: A woman stated that she wished to file report of harassment. The woman stated that her bathroom smelt like bleach and that someone was attempting to make her sick. The smell was identified by an officer as a cleaning product but did not seem out of the ordinary. 

May 20: 

8:53 a.m.: Police responded to Salem Five Bank on report of a panic/hold up alarm. The bank manager informed officers that the alarm was accidental. 

10:07 a.m.: Police received reports from students who found a bong on Congress St. 

11:32 a.m.: Police responded to 22 Prince St. for a landlord-tenant dispute. The parties were advised. Police arrested Jeremy Rayes for an outstanding warrant out of Salem District Court. 

2:15 p.m.: Police responded to Federal St. on reports of a dispute with a father and son. The parties stated that they had only a verbal dispute. The son had appeared to be intoxicated and smelled of alcohol, and was placed in protective custody for his wellbeing and safety.
