Boston Street Water Interruption Planned Thursday In Salem

Water will be shut off at times from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the removal of two abandoned sewer services.

SALEM, MA — A sewer project will cause water interruptions and the potential of low pressure and brown water on Boston Street in the area of Proctor and Fowler on Thursday.

The shutoff will allow for crews to remove two abandoned sewer services.

The interruption is planned between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Those who experience low water pressure or brown water should not run their hot water. Instead, they should run cold water until it clears.
