Salem Library Presents The Broad St. Readers Book Club
The Broad St. Readers is a book club run by the Salem Public Library and hosted by the Council on Aging. Members welcome aged 55+.
Join us for our January discussion of Celeste Ng’s bestselling book, Everything I Never Told You. This book tells the story of a Chinese American family living in 1970s small-town Ohio. The family’s middle daughter is found dead in the local lake, destroying the family’s delicate balance and “tumbling them into chaos.” By exploring family dynamics, divisions between cultures, and the devastation of grief, Ng manages to create a profoundly moving and gripping novel.
