'Career Closet' To Help Salem State Students Dress For Success
Students will have the chance to "shop" from more than 1,500 free new and gently used pieces of professional attire and accessories.
SALEM, MA — Aspiring Salem State professionals will have the chance to spruce up their wardrobes and job presentation skills and materials with the help of the "Career Closet" event scheduled for later this month.
Students will have a chance to "shop" from more than 1,500 free new and gently used pieces of business attire and accessories at the school's Ellison Campus Center. Students will be able to try on the items, work with volunteers on styling and interviewing advice and register to have professional headshots taken in advance of the school's upcoming job and internship fair.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on March 22 and March 23. Donations were accepted at drop boxes on campus through Friday.

Salem State Career Services organizes the event where all students on campus are welcome to attend and select items and register for services at no cost.
Gender-inclusive attire is available. Items include blazers, suit coats, dress shirts and blouses, dress pants, skirts, dresses, sweaters, cardigans, socks, nylons, belts, ties, clothes hangers and professional bags.

The first 100 students attending can also get free interview prep padfolios, with resources provided on affordable ways to build a professional wardrobe.
The school's Spring Job & Internship Fair is scheduled for April 5.
