City to Temporarily Shut Down Water System on Portion of Washington Street
The temporary water shutoff will take place overnight Thursday night to early Friday morning.

SALEM, MA — The city of Salem will temporarily shut down the water system on Washington Street from Harbor Street to Canal Street overnight Thursday night, according to buildingsalem.com.
The water shutoff will begin at 11 p.m. and will continue until approximately 5 a.m. Friday. The shutoff is required to disconnect existing buildings on the RCG hotel site prior to the start of the demolition of those buildings, which is set to begin next week.
Water is expected to be turned back on by 5 a.m. Friday.
