Salem resident graduates from Cotting School

Alisha Santiago-Jimenez, Salem resident and daughter of Jessica Jimenez, graduated from Cotting School in Lexington on June 6 as a member of the 132nd graduating class. Alisha received The Paul S. Miller Award for Generosity and Kindness of Spirit, which recognizes a graduate who, in the face of personal challenges, has demonstrated patience, generosity and a kindness of spirit in reaching out to others.

Founded in 1893, Cotting School serves students ages 3-22 with a broad spectrum of learning and communication disabilities, physical challenges and complex medical conditions. Its mission is to empower students with disabilities to achieve their highest learning potential and level of independence.
