Derby Street Eatery to Close After 30 Years in Business
The Derby Street mainstay announced Wednesday that it will be closing on its Facebook page.

SALEM, MA — A Derby Street mainstay will be shuttering its doors for good after 30 years in business.
In A Pig's Eye, a comfort food restaurant and entertainment venue located at 148 Derby Street, announced its impending closure in a Facebook post Wednesday afternoon. The post indicated that the eatery's last day in business would be Friday.
The restaurant did not indicate a specific reason for its closure.

"As rumors will spread and talk has already started. The truth is many circumstances lead to the fact that The Pig is closing, some of them are out of our control," the post read."Some issues we have been battling since the day it was taken over and a clear solution has still not presented itself. It has been a long hard battle that cannot go on."
In a Pig's Eye was purchased in 1986. The restaurant will go out with a Blues Jam this Friday.
