Dispute Over Broken Stove: Salem Police Logs

SALEM, MA — The following are excerpts from the Salem police logs. Information below does not indicate a conviction.

Logs

Jan. 27

9:19 a.m.: Officers responded to Loring Avenue for a past breaking and entering into a motor vehicle. Police spoke to a man who told police that his car was broken into sometime over night. The man also said that his center console and glove box had been rummaged through, but nothing was taken. There are no witnesses or suspects at this time.

9:31 a.m.: Police responded to Raymond Avenue on a report of a dispute. POlice spoke to a woman who said she was upset with a man who almost hit her daughter while backing out of her driveway. She said she began yelling at him and hit his vehicle with her hand. The man said the daughter was not behind his vehicle when he backed out. Both were advised to stay away from each other.

5:39 p.m.: Police went to Pope Street for a landlord/tenant dispute. The officer arrived at the apartment and met with a woman who reported that she had put in a report that her stove broke, and was not fixed. Police spoke with management who said they were very busy and would fix the stove.

11:17 p.m.: Police responded to Franklin Street for a suspicious vehicle. A caller complained that the vehicle was revving its engines. A man was found in the area and asked to move along.

Jan. 28

1:33 a.m.: Police responded to River Bank Road for a suspicious vehicle out front. Police spoke to several people who were in a vehicle, two of whom said they attended Salem State. They said they had been smoking marijuana in the area, and the driver was checked and sent on his way.

Arrests

Jan. 28, 7 a.m.: Stephen P. Callinan, 25, of Lafayette Street in Salem was arrested for disturbing the peace.

Jan. 28, 8:30 p.m.: John Richard Everett, 29, of Webb Street in Salem was arrested on a warrant.

Jan. 29, 3:30 a.m.: Shawn V. Hupp, 44, of High Street in Lynn was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle with a suspended license (subsequent offense), equipment violation, Class A drug possession and Class E drug possession.

Jan. 27, 1:26 p.m.: Michael Paul Kennedy, 46, of Derby Street was arrested for conspiracy to commit/ receive stolen property over $250.

Jan. 28, 3:05 p.m.: Jodie Sabina Marfongelli, 29, of St. Paul Street was arrested for resisting arrest, and a warrant.

Jan. 29, 12:45 p.m.: Michael Sanchez, 21, of Dow Street was arrested for operating with a suspended license, and failing to stop/yield.

Jan. 29, 4:07 p.m.: Diane F. Testa, 58, of Argyle Street in Andover was arrested for failure to yield, operating under the influence of liquor, and possession of an open container.
