Dominican Independence Flag Raising on Friday

The event will take place at City Hall.

Salem, MA – Mayor Kimberley Driscoll will host the raising of the Dominican Flag to honor Dominican Independence Day” on Friday, February 26, at 11:00 a.m.

About 20 percent of Salem’s population identify as being Latinos and the majority of those people are from the Dominican Republic.

On Friday, residents and leaders from the community will gather at Salem City Hall to raise the Dominican Flag and to sing the national anthem of the Dominican Republic. This event is open to the public.
