So all day in between appointments I have been receiving various accounts of what this Saturday will be like. I have decided that I will just pick the weather report I like best and roll with it! That is the 54-66 degree with clouds report. This weather is perfect for a little impromptu get together with some friends. I have already decided that there will be grilling of steak , some white sangria to start and my new twist on Bloody Mary…it is a grilled zucchini pepper and onion gazpacho bloody mary! It sounds like a lot , but believe me it couldn’t be simpler! It’s basically like if gazpacho and bloody mary got together..this would be their baby!
The trick is too be prepared. Make and chill the base of the bloody mary the night before and then while you are grilling the steak grill up the veggies and let cool before mixing them with equal parts bloody mary mix (keeps the temp down for blending) then toss in a blender! It adds a nice little flavor twist.
Prepare this the night before and then seal in a container and chill overnight:

16 ounces V8
2 ounces lemon juice

1 ounce lime juice
2 tablespoon horseradish
2 teaspoons Tabasco
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon celery salt
Salt and pepper to taste
Add ½ cup grilled zucchini ½ cup onions and 2 cup grilled orange peppers and blend until smooth! Pour in your preferred amount of vodka and serve with grilled steak. Garnish with grilled veggies or skewer mini kabobs of steak tips and grilled veggies and serve right along side or in the bloody mary…
