Election 2020 Salem Results: Biden Trounces Trump In Witch City

Salem voters backed Joe Biden, Ed Markey, Seth Moulton and supported both state ballot questions.

SALEM, MA — Salem voters overwhelmingly went with former Vice President Joe Biden over President Donald Trump in Tuesday's election, according to unofficial results.

The Biden-Kamala Harris ticket received 17,786 (74.6 percent) of the city's 23,838 votes to Trump's 5,382 (22.6 percent).

Salem voters also backed Ed Markey in the U.S. Senate race with 17,515 votes (73.5 percent) to Republican challenger Kevin O'Connor's 5,316 (22.3 percent).

Voters went with Seth Moulton in the race for U.S. Congress with Moulton receiving 18,173 votes (76.2 percent) to Republican challenger John Paul Moran's 4,953 (20.8 percent).

Salem voters backed both state ballot questions even though only one of them passed statewide.

Voters in favor of "Right to Repair" with 17,769 voting "Yes" and 4,542 voting "No."

Voters were also in favor of the "Ranked Choice Voting" initiative that failed statewide. Salem voters supported the measure 11,835 to 10,759.
