Essex Heritage Elects New Commissioners, Trustees
The nonprofit that promotes Essex County's national, historical and cultural destinations held its annual meeting last week.

SALEM, MA — The Essex National Heritage Commission elected new commissioners and trustees at its annual meeting last week in Rowley.
The nonprofit that manages and provides programs promoting the North Shore's historic, natural and cultural destinations elected five new commissioners and four new trustees to its 22-member Board of Trustees.
"Our trustees and commissioners serve an important role as ambassadors and advocates for this region," Chief Executive Officer Annie C. Harris said. "Essex Heritage is pleased to welcome the new trustees and commissioners, and we're grateful for their leadership and support in promoting regional cooperation in Essex County."

The new trustees for a 2021-2024 term are Angela Warren Ippolito, who is a member of the Swampscott Planning Board and an active community member; Laura Swanson, who is the executive director of the Enterprise Center at Salem State University; Nate Bryant, who is the vice president of student success at Salem State University; and Steven Immerman, who is a past president of the Montserrat College of Art.
The new commissioners, who will also serve a three-year term, are Betsy Goodrich from the Merrimack Valley Planning Commission, Julie Tarmy from the Nahant Historical Society, Susan Lippman, a former chief financial officer at Essex Heritage, Dr. Kurt Steinberg, president of Montserrat College, and Dr. William Heineman, president of North Shore Community College.
