Essex Superior Court Judge in Line to be Named SJC Justice: Report
Governor Charlie Baker is expected to name an Essex Superior Court Judge to the Supreme Judicial Court, reports the Boston Globe.

Boston, MA—Governor Charlie Baker is expected to name Essex Superior Court Judge David A. Lowy to the Commonwealth's Supreme Judicial Court (SJC) early next week, according to sources cited by the Boston Globe.
Lowy is expected to fill one of three seats soon to be vacated on the SJC, which is believed to be announced early next week as well as the appointment of two other new justices, according to the Globe's report. Lowy has been on the bench since 1997, and was appointed to the District Court bench by governor William F. Weld in 1997.
The Peabody native Lowy received his law degree in 1987 from Boston University, and graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 1983.
