Ex-Salem Baseball Star Sentenced To 2.5 Years After Guilty Pleas
Ricardo Troncoso, 20, entered guilty pleas in separate cases on drug and gun charges.

SALEM, MA -- A former start pitcher for the Salem High School baseball team was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison Wednesday. Ricardo Troncoso, 20, of 414 Essex Street in Salem, received the state's mandatory minimum sentence after pleading guilty to gun and drug charges.
Troncoso was arrested last September for possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number. While out on bail, he was arrested again for selling small quantities of heroin to an undercover police officer in December and January.
