Free COVID-19 Tests For Salem Residents, Employees

Residents and those who work in the city can get up to three free boxes of coronavirus tests at the Health Department.

SALEM, MA — Salem residents and those who work in the city are eligible for up to three free boxes of COVID-19 rapid antigen tests in the latest round of distributions.

The city is providing the tests for at-home use. Residents and employees of city businesses or municipal organizations can get the three boxes — two tests per box — at the Health Department offices at 98 Washington Street while supplies last.

The third floor offices are open Mondays through Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Residents are reminded that those with health insurance are still able to purchase a limited quantity of qualifying rapid at-home tests and then seek reimbursement from their insurance company.
