
Salem, MA –July 22 2013—HAWC (Healing Abuse Working for Change), hawcdv.org, a domestic violence agency serving 23 communities on Massachusetts' North Shore, has promoted Salem resident, Nikki Whittaker, to Program Director, a senior leadership role reporting directly to the executive director.
Nikki will be responsible for all program strategy, integration and direction. She will manage 17 direct service staff employees. A 10-year employee of HAWC, Nikki was most recently director of Community Programs.
Stephen Feron, President of the Board of Directors of HAWC noted Nikki’s long-time commitment and dedication to the agency when considering her promotion, “Nikki has demonstrated unwavering support and passion for HAWC and its mission. Her clear understanding of the needs of the individuals we serve and her dedication to giving these people the support and tools they need to thrive made her the perfect choice for program director. We are thrilled Nikki is serving in this role.”
