SALEM, MA — Salem officials are looking for feedback — both positive and negative — after about one million visitors descended on the Witch City this Halloween season.

Mayor Dominick Pangallo has issued a public survey looking for resident input on everything from events to public safety, communication and parking restrictions, closed roads, and other aspects of the month that began with the Grand Parade and went through the Halloween night fireworks and street closures.

"We incorporate public feedback from our residents into our Halloween and October planning
every year," Pangallo said. "Haunted Happenings 2023 went generally well, thanks in large part to the input and patience of Salem residents. Each year we look to and value the input from residents to help shape how we prepare and plan for next October.
