Man Found 'Highly Intoxicated' in Dunkin Donuts Bathroom: Salem Police Logs
Excerpts from the Salem Police Logs from Jan. 20, 21 and 22.

SALEM, MA — The following are excerpts from the Salem police logs. Information below does not indicate a conviction.

Jan. 20
1:40 p.m.: Police responded to Red's Sandwich Shop on a report of an undesirable. Police found that a man had a dispute with another customer wile in the restaurant. The owner informed police that he did not want the man back at the restaurant, The owner did not wish to issue a no trespass order at this time.
4:14 p.m.: Police responded to the Dunkin Donuts on Washington Street for an undesirable man causing a problem. Police spoke to a man who was found in the bathroom highly intoxicated. He was placed into protective custody, and issued a no trespass order for the Dunkin Donuts served in hand.

5:13 p.m.: An officer was sent to Lawrence Street for a past hit and run. The officer spoke with a man who said his car had been hit and there was damage to the rear of his car. The man said that he believes the damage had been done while at work at the North Shore Mall. He plans to speak to mall security to see if the incident had been caught on camera.
5:21 p.m.: An officer spoke with a woman who said that when she was leaving Salem Hospital her iPhone 4 may have fallen out of her backpack. She said that she used the iPhone tracking and it was being pinged on Collins Street in Danvers. She said she would go to the Danvers police to se if an officer can go with her to try and locate her phone.

10:09 p.m. An officer was sent to the area of Traders Way for a suspicious motor vehicle. The officer was looking for a black car that may have been harassing employees of the Burger King. Officers searched the entire plaza and were not able to locate the vehicle.
Jan. 21
4:01 a.m.: Police responded to Pope Street for a noise complaint. Police spoke to a man who was advised of the complaint and was moved along. He was by his vehicle in the parking area, and no noise violation was observed.
8:20 p.m.: Police responded to the Friend Street area for a parking complaint and four to five vehicles were moved from the sidewalk and corners.
Jan. 22
10:57 a.m.: Police took a report of a harassment situation.
12:21 p.m.: Police responded to Bridge Street for a found bicycle. The property was recovered and tagged.
12:22 p.m.: Police responded to the Cannon Hills Woods for someone cutting down trees. The area was checked and nothing showed.
1:58 p.m.: An officer responded to Lee Fort Terrace for a noise complaint. The officer met with a family at the address, and witnessed a small group having dinner. No violations or issues observed.
Arrest
Jan. 20, 5:30 p.m. Donald Lee Germain, 45, of Salem was arrested on a charge of drinking alcoholic beverages in public.
