Brian Richardson, 52, of Salem, will serve 18 months for indecent assault after being convicted in a jury trial.

SALEM, MA -- A man with 16 prior convictions and a six-page criminal record will serve 18 months in prison for indecent assault. Brian Richardson, 52, of Salem, was sentenced in Salem District Court Wednesday after a jury found him guilty last week. Richardson is due back in court later this month on charges that he violated a civil harassment order the Peabody woman obtained after the incident.
Richardson and the woman were at a karaoke night at the Spear American Legion Post in Beverly when he reached underneath the table they were sitting at and grabbed her between the legs, according to the Salem News, which first reported this story. The woman said she was harassed after making a complaint to police.
