SALEM, MA — Essex County prosecutors requested that a Salem woman and a Lynn man be held without bail pending the outcome of a dangerousness hearing after police raided the woman's house and found a modified assault rifle and a handgun that had been reported stolen in New Hampshire. Salem Police raided the house at 22 Charles Street of Alexis Dimino, 30, Wednesday while trying to execute a warrant for her boyfriend, James Thompson, 24, of Lynn.

During the raid, police found an AK-47 rifle that had been illegally modified into an automatic hanging on the back of a bedroom door next to a pink bra, according to the Salem News. In addition to the stolen 9 mm handgun, police found weapons hidden and loaded magazine clips, knives and a rifle scope stashed throughout the home.

Both Dimino and Thompson were charged with illegal possession of large capacity firearms and feeding devices, possessing firearms and ammunition without a license, improper storage of a firearm and receiving stolen property. Thompson was also charged with being a felon in possession with a firearm.
