Neighbor Disputes, $3,000 IRS Scam: Salem Police Logs

SALEM, MA—Here are some excerpts from the Salem Police Logs over the weekend.
May 27, 2:17 p.m.: An officer responded to 60 Perkins St. to speak to a woman who reported that her neighbor was posting videos of her on his crime stopper web page. She confronted him, called him a racist and asked him to move out. The officer then spoke to the neighbor, who stated that the woman attacked them verbally, but denied posting the video to his web page. He also reported that she had pulled down a curtain that he had which was blocking the window.
May 27, 5:23 p.m.: A woman reported that she sent $3,000 to an unknown account after she was swindled by an IRS scammer. She was advised to file a report with the Attorney General's office and to file a fraud report with the apple store in Peabody where she bought the cards.

May 28, 1:45 a.m.: An officer responded to 12 First Street for reports of a woman who would not go home after a night of drinking. The reporting person only had wished for the woman to go home for the night.
May 28, 8:46 p.m.: Miguel Gomez was placed in custody on High Street, and was charged with one count of unarmed robbery and one count of malicious destruction of property over $250.

May 29, 11:33 a.m.: Police report that a woman had asked a man to check out her air conditioning unit in her vehicle. While performing the check, the woman headed to Dina's Roast Beef and Seafood to get food for her son. She returned to find out that $70 had been charged to her card and $60.00 had been taken from her purse. An officer is set to speak to the man Tuesday.
May 30, 7:51 p.m.: A concerned citizen turned in a lady's wallet found at Salem Willows park. The owner was contacted and came to the police station and retrieved it, and was given the good samaritan's contact information so she could thank her.
