As the Clinical Resource Nurse at NSMC, Mary wears many hats; serving as a staff nurse, preceptor of new nurses and staff educator. Beyond her work at NSMC she supports emergency nursing at the state level, and has been instrumental in deciding the educational programs the Massachusetts ENA develops to help nurse’s stay current in the care of emergency patients and their families.
“My involvement with ENA provides me with the resources I need to deliver the most up to date care to NSMC patients as well as enables me to serve as an advocate for them,” says Mary, who resides in Peabody. “I am extremely blessed to go home every day feeling that I made a difference to someone, which is what drives me to do the work I do.”
The Massachusetts ENA provides a unified voice for the interests of Massachusetts emergency nurses, leading the way in setting the standard of care for emergency patients, evidence based research to guide emergency care and the education of emergency nurses.
