Parkinson's Ability-based Exercise and Movement Programs Extends Invitation to Attend Trial Classes

We are a non-profit organization providing ability-based exercise, arts and movement classes for people living with Parkinson's disease.

Marblehead, MA To the casual observer, boxing gloves, West African drums and instruments, and ballroom, ballet and improvisational dance rhythms don't appear to be related. For the class members realizing the benefits of trying something new in their ongoing rivalry against Parkinson's disease, those individual pieces help complete a difficult puzzle... how to maintain a resilient, mobile lifestyle.

When combined with regular exercise, challenging the brain, body, and spirit by learning something new and imaginative helps create motivation and a healthy outlook on living. For people curious about boxing, therapeutic drumming, and specialized movement and dance, the Parkinson's Fitness team invites anyone living with Parkinson's (and care providers) to take advantage of a trial visit to any of the three newest classes before the current six-week sessions finish and the next series begin.

Movement/Dance: Monday's, 10:30-11:30 AM - CareOne at Peabody (formerly Peabody Glen), 199 Andover Street, Peabody (two buildings west of Kappy's on Route 114
