Peabody Essex Museum To Host Climate Action Program
The Feb. 9 event with Rare will include an online discussion about elements that are missing from the conversation on climate change.
SALEM, MA — The Peabody Essex Museum and Rare, and international conservation specializing in social change for the environment, will jointly host an online conversation about climate change featuring young environmental leaders and climate experts.
The Feb. 9 event runs from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Those interested in viewing the "Speaking from the Heart: An Open Dialogue on Climate Action" discussion can register here.
The forum will feature a diverse panel on what is missing from the greater climate change conversation with speakers including:

- Jordan Sanchez, spoken word poet and student at Harvard University
- Noela Altvater, storyteller and student at Washington County Community College
- Natalia Jacobs, Merilyn Penn Grant recipient and student at Bates College
- Miranda Massie, Director, the Climate Museum, Public Voices Fellow – Climate Crises
- Kevin Green, Vice President, Center for Behavior & the Environment, Rare
The event was inspired by the Peabody Essex Museum's "Climate Action: Inspiring Change" exhibit and Rare's Climate Culture initiative.
