Annual Gift Drive An Incredible Success

Plummer Youth Promise thanks community for support of annual gift drive.
Plummer Youth Promise thanks community for support of annual gift drive. (Plummer Youth Promise)

In late November I wrote an article for the Salem Patch to inform the community about Plummer Youth Promise's annual gift drive and the goal of collecting over 500 gifts for 80 children, teens, and young adults we work with in foster care.

Now I’m writing with deep appreciation to say thank you. We had incredible response to this year’s gift drive and I’m very happy to report that we were able to fulfill almost every individual wish list.

While it is impossible to thank all of the generous donors, I would like to recognize the following businesses for their contributions, some of which have been supporting us for years: Salem Five Bank, Institution for Savings, Beverly Hospital Pharmacy, Dube’s Seafood Restaurant, FIA Inc., Our House Design + Build, Resolve Data, Seaside Graphics, and Tessellati, LLC.

Furthermore, we raised over $5,000 in additional funds. These donations allowed us to purchase remaining items, as well as Christmas stockings and stuffers for the 22 youth who live at our residential home in Salem.

While our gift drive has wrapped up and the year is ending, our mission of serving hundreds of children each year throughout eastern Massachusetts continues. Our vision is that every young person has a family unconditionally committed to nurture, protect, and guide them to successful adulthood.
