Police Investigating Salem Bank Robbery

SALEM, MA -- Police say the suspect in a Tuesday afternoon robbery of an Eastern Bank branch in Salem was similar in appearance to a man who recently robbed a bank at Lynn. Salem Police say the man did not show a weapon but handed the teller a note, who turned over cash from the drawer. The man then fled on foot from the bank on Traders Way towards Highland Avenue.

According to the Salem News, which first reported this story, police have released few details on the incident and would not say how much money the robber made off with.
