Police: Lynn Man Attacked Bus Passenger, Salem Officer
Christopher Forward, 55, of Lynn, was released on personal recognizance after pleading not guilty Wednesday.

SALEM, MA — Police say a Lynn man punched another passenger on a MBTA bus in Salem, then kicked a Salem Police officer. Christopher Forward, 55, of Lynn, was released on personal recognizance after pleading not guilty Wednesday to charges of assault and battery on a police officer, assault and battery on a disabled person causing injury, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
According to the Salem News, prosecutors had asked for bail of $2,500. That request was denied by Salem District Court Judge Shelley Joseph. The incident occurred around 1 p.m. Tuesday.
