Police: NH Man Beat Wife In Salem Parking Garage

Ryan Dadey, 34, of Dover, NH, was being held without bail after pleading not guilty to the charges Tuesday.

SALEM, MA -- A New Hampshire man his being held without bail after being accused of breaking his wife's nose after the two got in an argument about the location of their car in the Museum Parking Garage in Salem early Sunday morning. Ryan Dadey, 34, of Dover, NH, pleaded not guilty to assault and battery on a family member and two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury Tuesday. Prosecutors had their request that he be held pending a dangerousness hearing.

According to the Salem News, which first reported this story, a lawyer for Dadey said he was approached by the client's wife before Tuesday's arraignment who told him she was the "first aggressor" in the argument. Early Sunday morning, she told police Dadey punched her and repeatedly kicked her, and that it was not the first time he had been physically abusive.
