Police Respond to 'YOLO' Prank
The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The Salem Police responded to the following calls and made the following arrests on Sunday and Monday.
Sunday, Oct. 14
1:26 a.m. — Vandalism to a car was reported on March Street. The caller said she heard someone driving off and she discovered that that the person wrote with washable paint on the front and passenger side windows of her vehicle. Police said the phrases "Two chairs, turn up the music C. Brown, let's go fairy [expletive], YOLO, XOXO" were written, and came off with soap and water. Police said it appeared the vandalism was a prank.
2:28 a.m. — A possible domestic in a vehicle was reported on Church Street. Police said it was reported a man was being assaulted by woman. Police were not able to to find the couple, but they contacted the Andover PD, which checked in and was not able to find any crimes.
3:02 a.m. — A loud noise was reported on Washington Street.
9:22 a.m. — An undesirable seeping on a bench was reported in the mall.
9:40 a.m. — Police said a past break-in to a vehicle was reported on First Street.
11:54 a.m. — A woman reportedly punched a wall on Mason Street.
2:07 p.m. — A person sleeping in the stairwell was reported on Congress Street.
6:05 p.m. — Police said an undesirable panhandling was reported on Essex Street.
7:06 p.m. — A person laying near a car was reported on Aborn Street.
8:44 p.m. — Neighbors yelling in the driveway were reported on Daniels Street.
9:46 p.m. — Police said a vandalized vehicle was reported on Aborn Street.
11:24 p.m. — Several more vandalized vehicles were reported on Aborn Street.
Sunday Arrests
Wayne P. Daffe, 20, of 62 Derby St. was arrested on a charge of disturbing the peace.
Hugo R. Merida, 57, of 454 Washington St. in Chelsea was arrested on charges of domestic assault, breaking and entering at night with intent to commit to crime and intimidation of a witness.
Monday Arrests
Michael Carreiro, 41, of 289 Eastern Ave. in Lynn was arrested on charges of operating with a suspended license (subsequent offense) and failing to stop for a school bus.
Christopher L. Rice, 39, of 277 Lafayette St. was arrested on a domestic assault and battery charge.
