Salem Assessors Inspecting Properties
Inspections typically take about 15 minutes and include interior and exterior reviews of a property.
From The City of Salem: The Salem Board of Assessors is now carrying out the state mandated inspection program for all properties in the City of Salem. This program is normally performed every 9 to 10 years. The Assessors will be out continuously this summer inspecting properties due for cyclical inspection.
The assessor's inspection typically takes about 15 minutes and includes an interior and exterior view of the property. Each assessor will have photo identification. If no one is home at the time of their visit, the assessor will measure the exterior and leave a card or letter with call back information for the resident.
