Salem Christmas Tree Bonfire Returns To Dead Horse Beach
Residents can bring, drop off or leave out their trees for inclusion in the Salem Willows tradition on Jan. 6.
SALEM, MA — A Salem winter tradition is returning to Dead Horse Beach in January.
The annual Christmas Tree Bonfire will be held at 6 p.m. at the Salem Willows beach.
Residents are invited to the bonfire and can bring along their Christmas trees to be part of the festivities. Residents can also drop off the trees in advance at the beach after Jan. 2 or leave them out for curbside pickup the week of Jan. 2.

All trees must be free of decorations, garland, tinsel and lights, and should not be placed in a plastic bag.
Christmas trees will also be picked up with curbside trash collection the week of Jan. 9 after the bonfire.

The rain/wind date for the bonfire is Jan. 7.
