Salem Coffee Shop To Take Over Neighboring Restaurant Space
The luncheonette owner cited health issues as reasons for closing the Washington Street spot as of this coming Saturday.
SALEM, MA — The expansion of a Salem coffee shop will fill the space of a luncheonette restaurant that is set to close at the end of this week.
Au Gratin owners, The Denk Family, announced that the french-style pannini and cheese shop on Washington Street will close as of Saturday, with Odd Meter Coffee Co. taking over the space.
"I love the hospitality business and the Salem community," the restaurant owner posted on social media. "But my health issues have made running a restaurant unsustainable. I will be taking a pause to focus on recovery and spend time with my family.
