Salem Coronavirus Test Sites To Close In Tuesday's Extreme Cold

The state's "Stop the Spread" sites in Salem will not be open on Tuesday with wind chills expected to remain below zero throughout the day.

SALEM, MA — The two state-run "Stop the Spread" coronavirus testing sites will be closed on Tuesday because of the expected extreme cold.

Salem officials said on Monday that the drive-thru site at Salem High School, as well as the walk-in testing site at St. Peter's Church, will both be closed on Tuesday as wind chills are forecast to remain below zero throughout the day.

Salem scheduled a city resident-only testing date for the Community Life Center from 4 to 8 p.m.on Bridge Street.

No proof of insurance or citizenship is required, but proof of residency is and should be brought to the testing. Residents can sign up here.
