Salem High School will have an 11:15 a.m. dismissal on Thursday so students and staff can get to Foxboro for the 3 p.m. kickoff.
SALEM, MA — Salem High School students and staff will get to enjoy a half day on Thursday to help celebrate the accomplishments of the school's football team and allow those who want to see the Witches play in the Division 6 Super Bowl at Gillette Stadium to get to Foxboro.
Superintendent Steve Zrike said the high school will dismiss at 11:15 a.m. on Nov. 30. The kickoff for the first Salem appearance in a Super Bowl since 1999 is 3 p.m. vs. Fairhaven.
"We believe that this is a unique and special experience for the Salem High School community and we want to encourage as many students and staff to attend as possible," Zrike said in a letter to the school community. "We are grateful to the team for unifying and bringing excitement to our city throughout the football season. We are incredibly proud of our athletes, musicians and cheerleaders for representing our community with distinction."

Respective school offices should be notified of the intent to dismiss early by Wednesday.
