Salem High Football Team Send-Off Celebration Set For Wednesday

Fans and friends are invited to a pep rally for the Witches ahead of their Division 6 state championship game on Thursday.

SALEM, MA — Fans and friends of the Salem High football team are invited to a pep rally send-off party on Wednesday ahead of the program's first Super Bowl appearance since 1999.

The Witches will face Fairhaven in the Division 6 state championship game on Thursday at 3 p.m. at Gillette Stadium.

The pep rally will be on Wednesday at the Salem High fieldhouse. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with a 6 p.m. start time.

Superintendent Steve Zrike said the high school will dismiss at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday so students and staff can get to Foxboro in time for the big game.

The school will be running spectator buses from Salem High to Gillette Stadium for the game.

Zrike said the rest of the district will run on a normal full-day school schedule on Thursday with parents wishing to have students attend the game needing to follow normal individual early-dismissal protocols. Respective school offices should be notified of the intent to dismiss early by Wednesday.

Tickets for the Super Bowl are on sale through Ticketmaster with no tickets available at the Gillette Stadium ticket office the day of the game. All tickets will be digital and will be accessible through mobile devices only.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students/senior citizens. Children 5 years old and younger are free. Parking is free with each ticket providing a $3 discount to the Patriots Hall of Fame.
