Salem Housing Lottery Opens At Harbor Point Location
Harbor Point is a rental development in the renovated St. Joseph's Rectory and school buildings.
SALEM, MA — Three housing units in the Harbor Point renovation of the St. Joseph's Rectory and school buildings are available via a housing lottery in Salem.
The lottery is now open for the locations at 20 Harbor Street and 129 Lafayette Street. The development includes one studio, one one-bedroom and one two-bedroom apartment. Eligible tenants are those who earn up to 60 percent of the average median income.
The two-bedroom unit is wheelchair accessible. Water and sewer are included in the rent for all three units.

Surface parking is available with a washer and dryer in the two-bedroom unit. The other units will have access to a coin-operated laundry. Certain pets are allowed under the pet policy.
Section 8 and other housing vouchers will be accepted.

A virtual informational meeting will be held on March 21 via Zoom at 6:30 p.m. Meeting ID 838 6508 5215, Passcode 829464. The application deadline is April 21 with the lottery drawn online via Zoom on May 19.
Applications can be found at the City Hall Annex at 98 Washington Street, the Salem Public Library and the leasing office. More information can also be obtained by emailing lotteryinfo@mahousingservices.com.
