SALEM, MA — A Salem man is facing charges after throwing a beer at a cook at the Howling Wolf Taqueria because he was reportedly upset with his order Tuesday night. Jacob Treece, 32, of 38 Howard Street in Salem, pleaded not guilty Wednesday to assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, malicious destruction of property, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. A judge ordered him to stay away from the restaurant while awaiting trial on the charges.

According to the Salem News, which first reported this story, the victim was left with an egg-sized lump on his head after Treece threw a beer mug at him. When police arrived around 7:30 pm, Treece was uncooperative and "extremely agitated and aggressive." He was released Wednesday on $500 bail.
